Sendero de La Cruz Trail (the Cross Trail) begins is at about 400m above sea level, you will notice the cool temperature and abundance of emerald plant life that surrounds you. This hike takes approximately 3 hours round trip and is perfect for the moderate hiker in good healthy condition; however, in the company of a certified naturalist and interpretive guide, you can expect to low at times along the way to take closer looks at some of the flora and fauna and learn all about this amazing eco-system.
At the summit of the trail there is a large rock outcropping topped with a cross statue and from here you can see the land below you as it stretches to the Pacific Ocean and the Chame Peninsula (Punta Chame) jutting out into the water. From here it is not uncommon to observe raptors soaring at the same height as you over the forest below the summit peak.
Once down from our hike, you will enjoy lunch before heading back to the city.
